R2G2 2008 Photos Posted!

Sorry for the delay folks, but technical glitches between long busy weeks kept me from getting the photos up much sooner. Instead of uploading them via Google's nifty (or not so nifty) website upload feature, I posted them the old fashioned way--through my ftp program directly to the riverstewards webspace.

Also, click here to view trash totals!

Many many thanks to the photographers who volunteered their talents to provide evidence in photo form of the success of this great event! Click on their names below to see their contributions. Click on the thumbnails to enlarge the images.

I managed to click the shutter a couple times, but mostly kept busy running errands for the many stations we had. Click here to see the few I was able to take.

Photographers Wanted

Last year we collected several images from folks who took pictures during the cleanup. John Wenck captured video from several different sites and a video collage was created from a combination of still and moving images. We would like to do this again. If you'd like to volunteer as a photographer on the water or at one of the sites, email us at riverstewards@gmail.com.

Here's last year's video collage:

How to Register

Although the river is high right now we expect the water to continue to recede and be at a good level in time for the event. You can now register for a section of the cleanup.

Here's how to register:

1. Click on the "Register Now" link at the bottom of this post. (notice that the maps are Google maps and are completely interactive. You can change the looks by clicking on the tabs on the upper right, and zoom in and out).

2. Click on the red markers to view the different sites you can register for. After finding the one that suits you best, click on the "Information Registration" link that is in blue.

3. Scroll down and insert your registration information, i.e., name, email, etc.

4. Click "Register"

That's all there is to it! Completing the registration is important so we know how many volunteers will be at each site, and to provide a registration list to all the site hosts.

Thank you very much for your willingness to participate in this event!
